QES Sixth Form

By Jessica Voakes, Head Girl

Welcome to our QES sixth form community.

QES has helped me enormously throughout my schooling career but the opportunities during sixth form have helped me to move ever closer to a personal goal of being a vet. There is an abundance of things to get involved in whatever subject or personal interest you have. If there isn’t a club you think there ought to be – then be all means start one!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at QES and will forever remember the fond memories I have made here. In my role as Head Girl I have had the pleasure of working with students and staff on a variety of events, from delivering presentations at Open Evenings and the Christmas Fair, to discussing the achievements of peers and current developments in school with Governors in the Community Meetings.

I would highly recommend getting involved in the opportunities presented to you in sixth form and to push yourself out your comfort zone to experience something new. I’m sure you will enjoy your sixth form experience, whatever you decide to do, and the best of luck for wherever it may take you.

Opportunities at QES

By Cameron Wickes, Head Boy

I am very excited to welcome you to QES. I am studying Chemistry, Computing and Maths, three subjects which I absolutely love, with an aim to study Cybersecurity at university.

At QES, there are unlimited experiences and opportunities you can get involved in. Throughout my time, I have been in a variety of productions, through both music and dance, all of which have helped me build confidence and character. QES has given me these soft skills, but has also provided me with an amazing education, helped me to develop a great work ethic and lots of other skills, which will no doubt come in handy in the future.

We have incredibly devoted staff, and great pastoral care. I know I would not be the person I am today if staff members did not continually push and challenge me. The school’s approach to learning and developing well-rounded students is a unique one, and I know that when I’ve left, future students will love their time here as much as I have enjoyed mine.
