Vex Robotics Competition

Our robot-building teams had a great time on Wednesday, 6 December, when we hosted our first regional contest as part of the national VEX Robotics competition.

Our north west contest also attracted other schools including Lancaster Girls Grammar and Tanfield School from County Durham, who competed against six teams from QES.

One of our teams, Minimum Effort, earned themselves a place in the final but lost to two very impressive robots from Tanfield. And one of our newest teams, Vexellent, won the Judge's Award for their impressive engineering notebook and progress.

We are hugely grateful to our special guest judge, , who atteneded as a STEM Ambassador, who aim to encourage and inspire young people in projects that combine science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The whole event was organused by Mrs Chambers who wanted to thanks all students and staff for supporting a fantastic day.

Thanks to Mr Gabrysch for taking the photos
