Year 8 History Trip to Liverpool
As part of Trips Weeks the History department took 125 Year 8 students to Liverpool’s Albert Dock and visited two Museums: the Liverpool Maritime Museum and the Museum of Liverpool.
Students interacted with a variety of exhibits including singing Karaoke along to the Beetles and trying to spot a drug smuggler. A new attraction this year was “Dockwatch” showing the surprisingly diverse local sea-life.
The maritime museum also incorporates the International Slavery Museum which was of particular interest to Year 8 students who undertook a project on this important subject earlier in the year.
