From Miss Sosnowski
Inspired by next week's Comic Art Festival, our students have been creating some amazing artwork that's currently on display in shop windows in Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale.
In one project, members of our Comics Club took part in the Festival's Windows On Comics Art Trail and joined other schools, community groups and local businesses who have all created their own artwork for display in the windows of shops around Kendal.
Our contribution is currently on display in the window of Fat Face on Kendal High Street, as part of a project where the Comics Club members got the chance to work with renown local artist Sean Phillips.

Our Year 7 students, meanwhile, have been working on a project in their Art lessons that's inspired by the Festival's mascots, who are a bunch of mischevious characters called the Lakes Gang.
So our Year 7 pupils set out to create their own weird and wonderful characters - but with the added comic twist that they had to be made out of socks!
Many of their creations are now on display in shops around Kirkby Lonsdale.

And again we'd like to say a big 'thank you' to all the local business for their support in showcasing our students' work like this.
