Year 10 Geography Field Trip

A big thanks to all our GCSE Geographers in Year 10 who did their teachers proud when they descended on Langdale for a field trip to look at local land use. The trip involved mapping the glacial landscape up to the Langdale Pikes as well as visiting the Burlington Stone quarry before interviewing visitors to Elterwater as part of a tourism survey.

Every group of students behaved wonderfully well - and so impressed the quarry manager Phil that he emailed to say "...your students are in a league of their own, for all the right reasons" !

Thanks to the Geography Department for organising the series of trips.
